Delete Your Scrimps Account

You can permanently delete your Scrimps account and associated personal data at any time.

Option 1: Delete in the app (recommended)

This is the fastest way to delete your account.

1. Open Scrimps
2. Go to your Profile tab
3. Tap Settings
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Read the confirmation screen carefully
6. Type your username and tap Delete My Account

You will be signed out immediately after deletion completes.

Option 2: Email request (if you uninstalled the app)

If you no longer have the app installed, email scrimpbo@gmail.com from the email address linked to your Scrimps account.

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Include:

• Your Scrimps username
• Confirmation that you want permanent deletion
• The platform you used (iOS or Android)

We will verify ownership and process your request within 7 business days. We may ask for additional verification to protect your account.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Your authentication record (email/OAuth login)
• Profile (username, avatar, bio, cosmetics settings)
• Wallet balance and transaction history
• Gameplay data (scores, trivia attempts, missions, chests, streaks)
• Equipped and owned cosmetics tied to your account
• Push notification tokens and notification preferences
• Badge progress and achievement records

Your account will no longer appear on leaderboards or public profiles.

What may be retained

We may retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate purposes:

• Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you
• Security logs for fraud prevention (retained for a limited period)
• Support correspondence related to your deletion request
• Backup copies that are automatically purged on our standard backup cycle (typically within 30 days)

We do not retain your username on public leaderboards after deletion.

Before you delete

• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• You will lose all Scrimp Cash, cosmetics, progress, and streaks
• You may create a new account later, but previous data cannot be restored
• If you use Sign in with Apple, deleting your Scrimps account removes your app account; manage your Apple ID separately in iOS Settings
